Ned Schneider, B.S.M.E. & B.S. Industrial Engineering and Management

Ned Schneider has 20+ years medical device industry experience as an engineer and he has worked for leading companies such as 3M, Allergan, Advanced (Abbott) Medical Optics and most recently as the Director of Engineering for ReVision Optics, a start-up medical device company. While with 3M, he worked approximately four years at the 3M Dental facility in Irvine which won a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Ned has received many Corporate Awards from 3M, Allergan and Advanced Medical Optics for outstanding performance that resulted in significantly improved product and process performance while reducing costs by millions of dollars annually. He says much of his project success resulted from using Design of Experiments to gain the knowledge of products and processes necessary for breakthrough business results.

Ned has compiled many Patents and ROIs over the course of his engineering career. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer that has considerable expertise with product development, process development and automation. Additionally, for 6+ years, Ned has taught Design of Experiments for both UC Irvine and UC San Diego through their Extension & Corporate Training Programs.
